Twestival Selects Virtual Words as its Official Global Translation Partner
Virtual Words (@VirtualWords) is thrilled to announce it has been selected by Twestival Global (@twestival) as its official language translation partner, translating its documents into 20+ international languages this year.
Virtual Words will use its translation and localization expertise, along with its crowdsourcing workflow processes, to effectively manage and collaborate with volunteer translators around the world. “We are so happy to take part in Twestival’s efforts, and helping support their legion of organizers who raise funds and awareness for wonderful charities around the world.” notes Gaëlle Callnin, Virtual Words’ Chief Marketing Officer. Valérie Steinier, the company’s Chief Operations Officer also notes, “We are humbled by the dedication of our translator volunteer network whose dedication and support to the cause has been astounding.”
Twestival Global is a non-profit organization that uses the power of global event fundraising and social media influence as a vehicle to promote a selected charity each year. Amanda Rose, one of the founders of Twestival Global, reflects, “We are very grateful to have Virtual Words on our team and for the commitment they have shown us. With Twestival reaching every major city around the world, it is incredible to know we are able to break down the languages barriers and extend global involvement with their help.”
In 2010, Concern Worldwide (@Concern) was selected by the Twestival global team and local organizers to be the recipient because of their comprehensive and well respected approach to education. Concern is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of poverty. Their mission is to help people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives – improvements they can sustain without ongoing support.
