Marketing translation: Fiat product brochure

Much more than a simple translation, the localization of marketing materials is a process of adaptation which demands a vast cultural understanding of both the source and target audiences as well as a sensitivity to the values of each. To additionally express an emotion or nuance that will not only evoke the reader’s imagination but convert him into a loyal customer, the translator must also possess a flair for prose and an intimate knowledge of the target audience’s manner of communicating.  

Working with the global advertising giant Leo Burnett, we adapted their new marketing campaign for the Italian automaker’s Fiat 500. And dare we say, the campaign was an amazing success and the Fiat 500 has been reborn with a huge following of brand new enthusiasts!
