Hugues has lived, studied, and worked extensively throughout Europe, the US and Asia. By luck or necessity, he thoroughly enjoys the challenges inherent in encountering new cultures and languages, and having to adapt and learn new skills along the way.

Likewise in his career, Hugues has sought out a variety of professional challenges. He started his career in finance, working for international banks in Europe and on Wall Street. He subsequently became an entrepreneur, co-founding a software company, then a consulting firm advising European companies on expansion strategies into North America. He has also worked at a leading strategy consulting firm.

In all, the collection of Hugues’ personal and business experiences proved to be an ideal fit for Virtual Words. In early 2010, he joined full time to lead the company as it continues to expand internationally and to serve its clients and network of translators worldwide.

Hugues has a BS degree from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from INSEAD.
